The reference number is available on the Thank You page when you submit your application online, as well as in any follow-up communication related to your application.
The easiest way to submit the required supporting documents is by using the Document Upload website. You may also submit your documents via fax or email using the information below. Remember to write your reference number on all your documents. You can upload files up to 10MB in size. Larger files will take more time to upload. To reduce the size of the documents, you can: 1. Scan or create the file in grayscale instead of color. 2. Reduce the dots per inch (dpi) of a scanned image. 200 dpi should be large enough for your image to read.
The maximum size for a single file is 10MB. The maximum size for a submission is 30MB. Please note that larger files will take longer to upload.
The following file types can be uploaded: BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPG, PDF, PNG and TIF. Please make sure files are saved with the correct file extension
Depending on the status of your Card application, you will be provided access to this site if your Card application has been conditionally approved or if it requires additional documentation before approval. You may submit the required supporting documents to American Express by uploading them via this site.
